Manchester United transfer news: Glazer family ‘refuse’ to sell Paul Pogba as they view France midfielder as ‘Red Devils’ Lionel Messi’

Pogba has consistently been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after an alleged falling out with Jose Mourinho

Paul Pogba will not be sold by Manchester United due to the wishes of the Glazer family, according to reports.

The 25-year-old is being consistently linked with a move away from Old Trafford since an alleged falling out with Jose Mourinho, the Man United manager.

Pogba and Mourinho’s alleged bust-up was caught on camera

Juventus were rumoured to be in for the France midfielder, but they have ruled out a move for their former player, while Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are also said to have been keeping tabs on him.

The latter side were reported to have made an offer for Pogba during the summer, with a player-plus-cash deal rejected by United.

Pogba himself has flirted with Barcelona since rumours of that bid, and there is a feeling the Camp Nou club will return for him either in the January window or next summer.

However, Mundo Deportivo say Man United will not sell Pogba due to the Glazer family’s influence.

The Glazers, owners of Man United since 2005, are said to view Pogba as ‘Man United’s Lionel Messi’ – the player around whom the rest of the club is built, regardless of the manager.

This high regard of the midfielder means all offers submitted to Man United will be rejected, and any time a team approach Ed Woodward over a deal for Pogba, his response is a resounding ‘no’.

Pogba appears to have fractured his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, having been stripped of United’s vice-captaincy earlier this season.

He was also caught on camera having what looked like an argument with Mourinho during a training session.
