Spanish World Cup winner may leave Old Trafford at the end of his contract
Manchester United hero Juan Mata is considering a return to Valencia should he decide to quit Old Trafford in the summer.
The Spaniard was the hero for the Red Devils against Juventus as he netted a stunning free-kick in their 2-1 Champions League victory.
He is though, one of a number of players out of contract at the end of the season and he is free to speak to foreign clubs in the new year.
United don’t have an option to extend Mata’s contract by another 12 months, having done that last year.
The 30-year-old made his name at the Mestalla during a four-year stay before joining Chelsea in 2011.
And France Football claim Mata is eager to return to Valencia should he not extend his stay at Old Trafford.
The report further states that Mata is waiting to see if Valencia touch base with his entourage before making a decision on his future.
