Pep Guardiola has already spent over £400million on his Man City team
After an utterly dominant campaign, the Citizens finally sealed the Premier League title this weekend after they beat Tottenham 3-1 at Wembley and second-placed Manchester United suffered a shock defeat to basement side West Brom.
Guardiola’s side have stormed to the title in his second season in charge – the team currently sit 16 points clear at the summer and have a number of Premier League records still in their sights.
And the Spanish boss is set to be rewarded for the title success with a big transfer kitty as the club pursue further titles.
According to the Daily Mirror, Guardiola is set to be handed another £200million to strengthen his squad this summer.
The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss has already spend £448m over his two seasons in charge of the Blues, and will spend more as the club targets glory in Europe.
The report also claims the Spaniard is seeking reinforcements in central defence, defensive midfield and forward positions, with multiple targets on City’s radar before the transfer window opens in June.
With Yaya Toure set to leave and a back-up needed for key man Fernandinho, the likes of Jorginho of Napoli, Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred, Julian Weigl from Borussia Dortmund and Nice’s Jean-Michel Seri have all been linked as they target a holding midfield player.
Meanwhile, Guardiola also wants to land a versatile forward and is considering a move for Monaco forward Thomas Lemar and a fresh bid for Leicester ace Riyad Mahrez, who was close to joining the side in January
