As if Sterling cost £37m MORE than Shaqiri! Stoke star hailed for first-half display against Man City

Stoke produced an outstanding first-half performance against Manchester City on Saturday lunchtime.

The Potters led 2-0 at the break, with both goals coming inside the opening 15 minutes.

Their fine start owed much to the performance of winger Xherdan Shaqiri, with the winger tormenting City full-back Aleksandar Kolarov and laying on both goals for Marko Arnautovic.

Shaqiri’s display led many observers on Twitter to ask why he did not join a ‘big club’ in the summer, while some said he was a snip at £12million compared to City’s £49million man Raheem Sterling.
