Charlton hand contract to former Bolton and West Ham striker Ricardo Vaz Te

Charlton have signed Ricardo Vaz Te on a contract until the end of the season.

The former Barnsley, Bolton and West Ham forward was a free agent after leaving Turkish Super Lig side Akhisar Belediyespor in the summer.

Vaz Te recently spent time on trial at Bournemouth and West Brom but was not offered deals by the Premier League pair.

Now the 29-year-old has been snapped up by Championship side Charlton.

The Addicks have been keen to boost their attacking options after a poor start to the campaign and Vaz Te fits the bill.

Vaz Te, who scored the winner for West Ham in the 2012 Championship play-off final, could make his debut for his new club at Birmingham on November 21.
