Let’s take a step away from criticising Jose Mourinho, and take a look at the performances – or rather lack thereof – from the Chelsea team. The Blues have a collection of world-class players – Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas, to name but a few – however, not one can hold their hands up and state that they have given it their all during this slump. It’s easy to single out the manager; after all, he’s the man who faces the media, the questions, and the judgements, while the players cower in the background, hoping that the spotlight isn’t turned on them. But, it’s the reaction of the players, not the manager, that will ultimately get the results. And so far supporters have not seen a reaction from those donning the Blues’ shirt.
