Cindric to make Truck debut with Brad Keselowski Racing at Martinsville

Austin Cindric, son of Penske president Tim, will make his first foray into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, taking over in the #29 Brad Keselowski Racing machine at Martinsville.

Cindric, 17, will fill in for Austin Theriault, who was injured in a brutal crash at Las Vegas Speedway on October 3.

Brian Keselowski, brother of team owner Brad, piloted the truck last weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, leading several laps but eventually finishing 17th after running out of gas in the closing stages.

Cindric made his ARCA debut in July with Cunningham Motorsports in the #ThisIsMySpeedway150 at Iowa Speedway. He led 29 circuits before finishing fourth.

Last month, Cindric qualified fourth at Kentucky Speedway and led 27 laps, ultimately ending the race in 17th.

Prior to his ARCA debut, Cindric became the youngest winner in the Continental Tire Series at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park last in July. He also competed in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Lites — where he won at Daytona on June 21.

He became the youngest driver to enter the Bathurst 12 Hour race in Australia in February and posted a podium finish in the X-Games last summer.

Cindric started his racing career in Bandoleros and the Legends series before moving up to the Skip Barber School. He attends the Cannon School in Concord, N.C.
