Leeds United sack Uwe Rosler as manager and line up Steve Evans to replace him

Uwe Rosler has been sacked as manager of Leeds United.

The German was only appointed in the summer, replacing Neil Redfearn, but has been shown the door by the club’s owner Massimo Cellino just 11 games into the Championship season.

Rosler oversaw just two wins from his 11 league games and Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton has proved to be his final game in charge.

Former Rotherham boss Steve Evans is understood to be Cellino’s top target to replace Rosler and could be installed by Monday afternoon.
