Paris Saint-Germain are ready to reignite their interest in Manchester United target Raphael Varane.
The French club are long-term admirers of the defender and tried to sign him back in 2011 before he swapped Lens for Madrid.
He has gone on to rack up 73 La Liga appearances for the Spanish side since his arrival which has prompted further interest from Paris – as well as Manchester United.
Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal tried and failed to sign a big-name central defender during the summer, with a long-running saga involving Sergio Ramos eventually ending with the Spaniard signing a new contract at the Bernabeu.
It has been reported that Van Gaal will switch his attention to Ramos’ team-mate Varane, and will move for him next summer.
But now, according to reports in France, United will face competition from PSG who are also lining up a move of their own for the talented 22-year-old.
