David de Gea will remain at Euro 2016
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has denied the sex party allegations aimed at him, claiming they are ‘false’.
According to El Diario, the Spanish star has been accused of organising a non-consenual sex party with sex workers in 2012, for two teammates of his at Under-21 level.
De Gea, along with Athletic Club’s Iker Muniain, were implicated in the case involving pornography baron Ignacio Allende Fernandez – also known as Torbe – when a female witness known as TP3 gave testimony claiming that he also ran a prostituion ring.
The keeper, who is part of Spain’s squad for the European Championship, has denied these allegations as a ‘falsehood’, and has confirmed that he is not leaving the Spain camp for this summer’s tournament – as had been rumoured earlier.
Speaking in a press conference, De Gea said: “I’m more surprised than anyone by this news. I want to deny it. It is a lie and a falsehood.
“It gives me more reason to stay with Spain, in the company of my team-mates. It’s in the hands of my lawyers.
“I’m very calm. I’m just looking forward to going out to train and enjoying myself.
“I’ve no idea where this has come from. I know it’s all false. We have to move on.”
