Louis van Gaal will have find a way to cope without captain Wayne Rooney for Manchester United’s clash with West Ham United on Saturday.
The striker will miss the game at Old Trafford with an ankle problem, leaving his manager with a selection headache and a growing injury list.
Rooney is joined on the sidelines by Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones, while Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw remain long-term absentees.
Van Gaal has been boosted by the return of Marouane Fellaini and Jesse Lingard, but the Red Devils are stretched to the limit in certain areas of the pitch.
Ashley Young may be forced to fill in at left back, while Lingard could go straight back into the team after recovering from a hamstring strain.
