Manchester United transfer report: Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben dismisses speculation over future

Arjen Robben says he is happy at Bayern Munich and insists thoughts of a move away from Bavaria have never crossed his mind.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen to be reunited with Robben, who played a key role under him in Holland’s run to the 2014 World Cup semi-finals.

But the former Chelsea and Real Madrid winger, who turns 32 in January, is not looking to leave Bayern and has quashed speculation he could be set for a switch to Old Trafford.

“I never thought about a transfer [away from Bayern],” he told a Bayern supporters’ club event.

“I am happy in Munich; my family is happy in Munich.

“My contract runs until 2017. You can’t look too far forward in football, but everything is fine at the moment – I hope things continue this way.”
