Manchester United’s hopes of re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo could be almost over with reports in France claiming the player’s agent has already met with the owner of Paris Saint-Germain.
According to reports from across the Channel, PSG’s chairman and chief executive Nasser Al-Khelaifi has met with Ronaldo’s representative and close friend Jorge Mendes.
The 30-year-old might be looking to get out of Real Madrid after they were humiliated by rivals Barcelona on Saturday evening.
The figures involved are £91m for the transfer fee and £15m in wages per season.
Madrid have called a press conference for Monday evening which could spell the end for current boss Rafael Benitez, who is believed to have clashed with the Portuguese.
If Madrid install a new boss Ronaldo approves of he might remain in the Spanish capital.
If not, then the French side with deep pockets will be in the driving seat to sign the superstar.
