Marseille hope to save Chelsea flop from Stamford Bridge nightmare

Marseille are weighing up a January loan move for Chelsea flop Papy Djilobodji.

The defender moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer from Nantes but he has made just one appearance since then.

And now, according to L’Equipe, he could be heading back to France after Marseille expressed an interest in taking the 27-year-old on loan.

The Ligue 1 side have struggled to perform this year and find themselves languishing in mid-table.

Manager Michel is now hoping to tie up a short-term deal for Djilobodji, in order to tighten up the team’s defence and climb up the table.
