Sri Lanka brought back spinner Ajantha Mendis and pacer Nuwan Kulasekara, and also named three uncapped players – Shehan Jayasuriya, Jeffrey Vandersay and Danushka Gunathileka – for the upcoming three ODIs against West Indies in November. Right-arm quick Dushmantha Chameera was also picked in the 15-man squad.

From the squad that was chosen to play against Pakistan in August, Sri Lanka left out Nuwan Pradeep, Sachith Pathirana, Thisara Perera, Seekkuge Prasanna, Ashan Priyanjan and Upul Tharanga.

Jayasuriya, a left-handed batsman, made his international debut recently against Pakistan in a T20, with a 32-ball 40 at No. 3 and opened the bowling too. He also played three unofficial ODIs against Pakistan A in May, with mixed results, but has been a top performer for Colts Cricket Club.
