Wayne Rooney celebrates his birthday today, and it has been revealed that he is the most prolific Premier League striker at the age of 30.
The England and Manchester United captain announced himself to the world in 2002 while still at Everton with a stunning goal against Arsenal at Goodison Park, and he has found the net a further 186 times in 13 years.
Rooney is joined by some of the most prolific marksman in Premier League history in the top 10, including five other England internationals and a World Cup winner.
But he still has many more goals to score if he is to become the highest ever Premier League scorer as he sits 73 goals behind Alan Shearer’s total of 260.
