Domenico Berardi in action for Sassuolo
Sassuolo owner Giorgio Squinzi is hopeful the club can keep hold of Tottenham target Domenico Berardi.
The 21-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Italian football and has six goals to his name this season after finding the net 15 times last year.
Tottenham are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements this summer and have scouted the striker on several occasions.
However, Sassuolo owner Squinzi is hopeful that, despite all the transfer talk, the club can keep their star man.
“Domenico Berardi? Why can’t his future be at Sassuolo? I hope he stays another year, though I wouldn’t want to limit his growth,” Squinzi told Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.
“He found the right environment here. The coach is excellent at developing youngsters.”
