Anthony Watson scores England’s opening try against Wales
Eddie Jones’ England will be crowned Six Nations champions if Scotland beat France on Sunday after they staved off a dramatic late Wales fightback at Twickenham.
The Red Rose made it four wins out of four to set up a Grand Slam mission against France in Paris next weekend as they avenged Wales’ World Cup victory over them six months ago through wing Anthony Watson’s try and 20 points from centre Owen Farrell.
But Wales made them work for the triumph during a frantic finale, as wing George North and number eight Taulupe Faletau scored tries in the final six minutes following fly-half Dan Biggar’s earlier touchdown, with Biggar and Rhys Priestland (2) adding conversions.
