Slaven Bilic insists West Ham will NOT be busy in the January transfer window

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic says he will make only ‘exceptional’ signings during the January transfer window.

The Hammers have made a searing start to the season thanks in no small part to most of their summer arrivals settling seamlessly into the team.

Bilic has been tipped to further strengthen his options in the New Year, with Galatasaray’s Oguzhan Ozyakup and AC Milan’s Keisuke Honda reportedly on his radar.

But the Croatian insists he is delighted with the make-up of his squad, and will only be active in the next transfer window IF an exceptional player becomes available.

He said: “We did the majority of the job in August and I’m happy with the team, with the squad.

“It doesn’t mean we aren’t going to bring someone in if possible or offload one or two but nothing major in terms of numbers.

“If something exceptional comes our way you never know but we have done our job.”
