Cape Town – The Barbarians have included eight South Africans in their squad to tackle English club Gloucester and Argentina later this month.

The world famous invitation team, coached by Wallabies mentor Michael Cheika, will return to action at Kingsholm on November 17, before taking on Los Pumas in the Killik Cup match at Twickenham November 21.

Up front, Cheika has included five Springboks – Bakkies Botha, Victor Matfield, Lood de Jager, Tendai Mtawarira and Warren Whiteley.

Among the backs, two more Boks – Cobus Reinach and Pat Lambie – are included, while Cheetahs centre Francois Venter completes the list of South Africans.

Botha will make his final bow in professional rugby, while Reinach and Whiteley will be eager to impress after failing to make South Africa’s Rugby World Cup squad.
