Sport24.co.za | Embattled Kings submit squad to SANZAAR

Cape Town – The Southern Kings on Monday submitted a
provisional squad ahead of this year’s Super Rugby competition.

Only 31 players were included in the squad submitted to
SANZAAR.

The South African Rugby Union (SARU) is believed to be
hoping to fill the last few vacancies from unwanted players at other
franchises.

SARU was forced to step in and control matters at the Kings
after the EP Rugby Union was unable to pay its players.

The Kings do have a number of players in reserve, who have
trained with them in recent weeks but have not been listed in their squad. They
are: Vukile Sofisa (prop), Phillip du Preez, Tazz Fuzani, Tjiuee Uanivi (locks),
Adion Davis, JP Jonk (loose forwards), James Hall, Marlon Lewis (scrymhalves), Theuns
Kotze (flyhalf), Michael Makase (wing) and Leighton Eksteen (fullback).
