Marc Marquez, Repsol Honda Team
Phillip Island GP Circuit has to be one of the most scenic venues for a race. And the MotoGP circus is spectacular (did you SEE the race on Sunday?!) here. We really love this photo of Marquez and fans.
Matevos Isaakyan, Pons Racing
Jerez’s very odd structure at the beginning of pit lane as always perplexed us. But here it’s put in a lovely context with Formula Renault 3.5 testing and the sun.
2015 champion Pascal Wehrlein, HWA AG
Even though 2015 DTM champ Pascal Wehrlein might have beached his Mercedes while celebrating, and racked up fines for not taking part in post-race weight checking proceedures and getting out of his car during cool down lap…the photos were good. And that’s all we care about, let’s be honest.
Championship podium: Pascal Wehrlein, HWA AG Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM
With no German GP on the F1 calendar this year, we were deprived of this look on the nostalgic Hockenheim pit/administration building. Until now. Nice atmosphere for the championship podium celebrations.
Start: Maxime Martin, BMW Team RMG BMW M4 DTM leads
DTM starts can be crazy. And unlucky Gary Paffett (left) got complete thrown to the pit wall.
Race winner Jamie Green, Audi Sport Team Rosberg Audi RS 5 DTM
Sure, burnouts are mainly reserved for NASCAR and V8 Supercars. But Jamie Green knows how to put on a show in his precision tuned Audi DTM.
Race winner Marc Marquez, Repsol Honda Team
Marc Marquez flexed his muscles in his Australian GP win. What an exciting race that was.
Race winner Kyle Busch, Joe Gibbs Racing
This is a great frame. Bowing driver with flag and those burnout marks with rubber everywhere. That pretty much sums up NASCAR.
Andrea Iannone, Ducati Team hits a seagull
Hands down the top photo of the week. The moment a seagull regretted its decision to take a break on the Phillip Island GP Circuit. It made a hole in Iannone’s bike, but the rider went on to finish third in the race. The seagull didn’t fare so well unfortunately.
