Wales 67-14 Italy: Record win for hosts as they finish second in Six Nations

Ross Moriarty celebrates scoring a try for Wales

Wales ended their Six Nations on a high as they thumped Italy 67-14 to ensure they finish as runners-up.

Warren Gatland’s side scored nine tries in Cardiff on their way to a record championship win.

Ross Moriarty (2), Rhys Webb, Liam Williams, George North, Jonathan Davies, Jamie Roberts, Gareth Davies and Dan Biggar all touched down, while Biggar added 16 points from the boot and Rhys Priestland kicked three conversions.

Italy claimed second-half consolation tries from scrum-half Guglielmo Palazzani and centre Gonzalo Garcia, with Kelly Haimona converting both scores, but the Azzurri were horribly outclassed.
