West Ham were 6-5 winners over a West Ham All-Stars team
West Ham goalkeeper Adrian scored a great solo goal on Monday – something we never thought we would write!
The Spaniard’s strike came in an 11-goal thriller at Upton Park, a charity fixture marking Mark Noble’s testimonial at the east London club.
The move starts with the ball in the hands of the 29-year-old – in his own box, of course. He then throws the ball over an opponent’s head and before starting a mazy run up field.
Shielded by a couple of team-mates, Adrian makes his way past the halfway line before breaking into the box, turning inside and wrong-footing the defender.
His low strike is clearly too powerful for ex-England goalkeeper David James, who can only divert the ball into the back of the net – see below!
The charity match finished with West Ham 6-5 winners over a West Ham All-Stars team. That did not stop it going to penalties though.
