West Ham transfer report: Hammers set to miss out on Inter Milan defender

Fiorentina are lining up a New Year move for West Ham target Danilo D’Ambrosio.

The 27-year-old full-back was on Slaven Bilic’s radar in the summer but he eventually stayed put at Inter Milan.

However, D’Ambrosio, who only arrived from Torino in 2014, is yet to feature in the league this season and he looks set to leave when the transfer window opens.

The Hammers have been linked with a fresh move for the 27-year-old but now reports in Italy have suggested that Fiorentina are the new front-runners to land him.

La Viola are hopeful of sealing a loan deal until next summer, when they will have the option to purchase D’Ambrosio, who is under contract at the San Siro until 2018.
